City Break with Northern Lights

Experience Reykjavik and nearby area in its winter coat. This short but exciting trip welcomes you by entering the warm geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon on your way from the airport to your hotel in Reykjavik.

The next day is focused on getting acquainted with Iceland’s capital including its lively cultural venues, various shops and sights. Complete the day by taking a Northern Lights hunt by boat, maximizing the effects of this mystical natural phenomena, and the view towards the nighlty illuminated capital‘s silhouette makes the trip a special experience by itself

This swift self-drive program is now available on a whole year basis. The program is based on Iceland’s most famous attractions in South Iceland and Reykjavík, our vibrant capital.


Start the tour by exploring the lunar-like landscape of the Reykjanes peninsula. Include a visit to the Blue Lagoon if you like. Then head for Hveragerdi, a charming countryside village located in the doorway to the Golden Circle, and home to Örk hotel – you're home for the next two nights.


From there you travel to experience Reynisfjara black beach, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, Cape Dyrhólaey viewpoint, Þingvellir national park, Geysir hot spring area and Gullfoss waterfall.

Your hosts at the Farm-Hotel Heydalur pick you up from your hotel in Reykjavík and drive you to the accommodation in the very remote Fjord Mjóifjörður in the West fjords. Heydalur is a great base for tours and excursions to experience the wild and untouched Icelandic arctic nature.

Christmas with the Locals

Your hosts, the family at Hraunsnef in the west of Iceland, run a small hotel and a restaurant on their working farm with a few chickens, pigs, horses and dogs. They grow vegetables, get free range eggs from their chickens and produce the pork served at the restaurant.

Celebrate Icelandic Christmas with the Family at Hraunsnef. In the beautiful winter surroundings you’ll enjoy their hospitality in a warm and cosy environment. Relax in the hot tubs and on a clear night you might be lucky enough to experience the northern lights.

In the footstep of the Elves

The extraordinary area around the village of Bakkagerði in the fjord Borgarfjörður, one of the most remote fjords of Eastern Iceland, has become a paradise for hikers. The locals have marked numerous trails for hikers in the last decade from one bay to the next.

On this coastal trekking tour you enjoy the hospitality of the locals, their extensive knowledge of the area and its interesting culture. The area has a rich folklore heritage and many of the tales are about the elves and hidden people Icelander’s have lived side by side with throughout the centuries.
