We spend the day exploring and photographing the region, we may see the northern lights dancing above the glacier in the evening.

We drive to Stokksnes, east of Höfn village in the „Horn“ area, where you find Vestrahorn, a 454 m high mountain with its interesting geology and contrasting black sand dunes and yellow grass. A photographic imperative! East of the mountain is a strange-shaped outcrop called Brunnhorn that streches out to sea.

We drive towards the coast to the basalt column caves of Reynisfjara where we take a short walk on the black sand beach and have a view towards Dyrhólaey cliff. Furthermore we drive to the world famous Geysir region, where hot springs are in abundance, such as the famous great Geysir which has given name to hot springs all over the world. We will see one of the most active geysers in the area, Strokkur, spouting up to 30 meters.
